Cenla Photography, LLC, owned and operated by Steve and Kathy Mathews of Pineville, Louisiana, is a Christian-based business that truly takes pride in their work and always puts their clients first. They custom fit each package to their client's needs, so you don't have to worry about buying something you don't want or need.


AWARDS WON, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Cenla Photography's main photographer, Steve Mathews, has been a practicing photographer for over 24 years. He has taken various courses in photography from Louisiana State University in Alexandria, Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, and the Nikon School Of Photography in Houston, Texas.

Cenla Photography travels throughout the state of Louisiana providing outstanding images to their clients. Steve specializes in several areas of photography, but his main love and focus is shooting weddings. He has a vast array of experience and knowledge when it comes to wedding photography, and is currently one of the premier wedding photographers in the state of Lousiana. He has won numerous awards for his wedding photography. He also enjoys shooting sports - team & individual posed shots as well as action shots of the players, family and children portraits, military events and functions, reunions, and other "event" type photography. Steve is currently a member of the SPAA and the PPA.

Steve had his first photograph published in 1998 which was in an international magazine (that photo is still being published to this day). Since then he has won many awards for his excellence in photography in various fields and just last year he was nominated for the 2008 International Photographer of the Year Award! He was featured in the Alexandria Daily Town Talk Newspaper on May 25th, 2008 regarding this nomination. The Town Talk ran a 3/4 page full color article on his outstanding and rare achievement titled "A One In A Million Shot". He has also recently had photos published in a newspaper in Florida. Steve has had several of his photos on display at the Alexandria Museum of Art (one still remains today) and numerous photos published in various national and international magazines, hard-bound books, and coffee-table anthologies. He has received many "Editor's Choice" Awards and several "Hall of Fame" Awards as well as over 13 wall plaques and medals for his photos and is currently in talks with a national producer of post cards and related items regarding having several of his images put on post cards for distribution worldwide.

Some of Steve's previous client's include Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, the Federal Government at Camp Beauregard, Alexandria Mayor Jacques Roy, Doctors Badeaux and Warshaw, Christus Cabrini Surgery Center, United States Dept. of Agriculture, Louisiana Dept. of Wildlife and Fisheries, Anytime Fitness in association with the NFL, Red River Gymnastics, South Grant Elementary School, Dry Prong Jr. High School, Philadelphia Baptist Church, Dixie World Series Softball, USFA Softball, USSSA Baseball, Grant Youth Basketball Association, and many more.

Cenla Photography strives to build a long-lasting working relationship with their clients. Steve and Kathy are very patient and do an excellent job with children of all ages. Whether it's a wedding, family portrait, or a birthday party, they take their time and make sure they get just the right shots. They are never in a "rush" especially when it comes to children.
